Our 7-year anniversary exclusive coffee
We roasted our first batch of coffee in a Whirlypop popcorn machine when we began 7 years ago.
Look how far we’ve come! When we started out, we sold our coffee at local events and farmer’s markets, meeting most of our customers face-to-face. It was a great way to get involved in the community and learn about the people who loved our coffee. A few years later, in January 2018, we opened our first retail location, our coffee shop in Carmel, IN.
Now, we’re so excited to celebrate 7 years of roasting by offering you this once-in-a-lifetime coffee as our way of saying thank you for all your support of ICR! Here are all the details:
Colombia – Monteblanco
Tasting Notes: Strawberry Lemonade, Passion Fruit, Raspberry, Chocolate
Process: Fruit juice anaerobic wash, a process that involves a double fermentation of the cherries and then the green beans for a total of 160 hours
About the Beans: Our Anniversary Exclusive Coffee is a limited edition black-label coffee that we’re offering just for the celebration of our 7 years of roasting coffee. This coffee was never meant to come to the U.S. at all, but due to global rerouting caused by the pandemic, it ended up in our hands. This is the most unique and rare coffee we’ve had the privilege of roasting for you.
Our Anniversary Exclusive Coffee comes from the Finca Monteblanco farm in the Huila region of Southern Columbia. It was processed using a very unusual method: a fruit juice anaerobic wash. This is a process of fermenting the cherries followed by re-fermenting the green coffee beans for over 160 hours overall, releasing incredibly unique flavors with tasting notes of strawberry lemonade, passion fruit, raspberry, and chocolate.
Our Anniversary Exclusive Coffee is available on our online store beginning November 6. To ensure optimal freshness, every batch of coffee will be roasted to order and shipped to your home. You can also select in-store pick-up when you make your purchase if you want to come into our coffee shop to get your bag. We’ll notify you as soon as it’s ready for pick-up.
