Let's keep the summer months alive, shall we? This washed Honduras from producer, Katia Duke, is no slouch! We are so happy to finally share it with you. Up front we get all the summer vibes of cherry and lemon shake-ups. If that's not enough, how do notes of creamy vanilla malt and juicy peach sound? Yeah, it's summer in a cup. You're welcome.
This coffee originates in the dry, dusty region of Copán Department, Honduras near the Ruinas de Copán. Farm owner and producer, Katia Duke, has been with the company her entire life having grown up on the coffee farm that’s been in her family for generations. Later, she attended the prestigious Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural School in San Antonio de Oriente, Francisco Morazán, Honduras. After graduation, she sought to understand as much as possible about the coffee industry and through careful, strategic farming adjustments, she managed to save her family’s farm from the la roya leaf rust epidemic in 2012.
Now, the producers in this region use modern practices in conjunction with traditional farming methods to produce the highest quality coffee possible. We’re thrilled to be able to share this with you!
