Cup Characteristics
Elegant, steady, and quietly captivating—this coffee unfolds in the cup with utmost grace. Bright notes of mandarin orange and crisp green apple bring a refreshing lift, while delicate hints of white tea add a soft, floral clarity. Its full, dense body carries a smooth, rounded texture, balanced by a medium, beautifully integrated acidity – feeling both lively and composed. The finish lingers gently, leaving behind a clean, satisfying impression that invites you back for another sip.

About the Producer
Produced and processed exclusively by women at Gasharu Coffee, this selection is inspired by the initiative to ensure women’s labor in the coffee industry is properly recognized and compensated.

In Rwanda, the "Rugori" is a crown gifted to women after their first birth as a symbol of motherhood, respect, and societal contribution. By adopting this name, Gasharu Coffee aims to reflect these values within the coffee value chain. While women perform the majority of farming and processing work, they often receive only a small fraction of the proceeds. This micro-lot establishes a transparent framework to ensure female employees—who make up over 70% of the workforce at Gasharu—benefit directly from the additional proceeds of their work.

Gasharu has noticed that investing in these women has a documented positive impact on the community, including the eradication of malnutrition and illiteracy, and the promotion of education. These advancements are essential for both women's empowerment and climate change mitigation.
