Flavor Notes
Caramel, Chocolate, Marshmallow
Cup Characteristics
If you think decaf coffees have to be bitter and bland, you need to try this one from Veracruz, Mexico. Its sweetness stands up against most caffeinated lots from the same country, with comforting notes of Caramel, Chocolate, and a freshly roasted marshmallow. With a balanced and sweet aftertaste, this is the perfect way to start your morning or end your night.
Ethyl Acetate Process
This method of decaffeination utilizes the naturally occurring organic compound Ethyl Acetate to draw out caffeine. The coffee is soaked in a solution containing the compound, which naturally attaches itself to caffeine’s celluar structure. The coffee is then re-dried to and prepared for roasting.
