Cup Characteristics
Smooth, creamy, and downright dessert-like, this Tanzania Pacamara brings together juicy nectarine, velvety vanilla cream, and the warm sweetness of snickerdoodle cookies. The bright, tangy lift of nectarine gives the rich, buttery sweetness a little spark, creating a cup that feels both vibrant and indulgent. Silky, unctuous, and wonderfully balanced, it’s proof that fruit and cookie sweetness were meant to be together.

What is the Pacamara Varietal?
Pacamara is a unique coffee varietal known for its unusually large beans and rich, creamy body. Originally developed in El Salvador, it can produce incredibly sweet, complex, and expressive coffees. Finding Pacamara grown in Tanzania makes this release especially unique — and that signature creamy body really shines with the vanilla cream and snickerdoodle notes in this cup.

About the Producer
Coffee has been part of Leon's family for generations — his grandfather first planted coffee in 1920. Leon and his wife, Aideen, returned to Tanzania in 1996 and began transitioning the family business away from commercial-grade coffee and toward high-quality specialty coffee.

Today, Acacia Hills is known for producing incredible Tanzanian coffees while investing in the future of coffee in their community.

Why Is This a Sustainability Partner Coffee?
In Tanzania, where making a living from commercial coffee can be incredibly difficult and 1 in 7 people live in extreme poverty, Leon and Aideen are working to create a different path through specialty coffee.

They've established a coffee group with fellow smallholder farmers focused on an agroforestry transformation — growing coffee alongside a diverse mix of trees and plants to create healthier, more resilient farms.

At the same time, they're helping farmers pursue consistent, high-quality specialty coffee as a pathway toward a sustainable living income.

That's what makes their work so exciting: environmental and economic sustainability working together to create change that can last for generations.

Washed

What is the Washed  Process?
The washed process is one of the most common processing methods. Freshly harvested coffee is sorted for ripeness and the fruit and pulp is removed from the beans within the first 24 hours after harvest for drying.
